Peli iM2075 Concertina Hard Case

I’ve been looking for a workhorse case for my Concertina. The original refurbished Victorian jug case feels too nice to drag around pubs and already I can feel it’s taking the strain. It’s quite hard to find a decent quality and durable concertina hard case- most available from the popular folk music stores are lightweight covered chipboard efforts which don’t feel quite up to the job. I tool receipt of a Peli iM2075 Storm Case today which I’d seen recommended elsewhere as a decent concertina sized hard case. I ordered in yellow as Claire thinks this will make it easy to keep track of in dark pubs and sessions and therefore less nickable. The yellow does look quite conspicuous though. Main drawback is that the whole case doesn’t fit in my usual rucksack and I don’t really want to be carrying a bright yellow box around a city centre at midnight following a session, so I will need a new rucksack too.

The Pick ‘n’ Pluck foam took about two minutes to arrange, although with any foam at all it’s quite a tight fit.

But I’m very happy with it – feels almost indestructable. Total cost was £103 inc VAT from https://www.peliproducts.co.uk
